CAMP FACILITIES: Our camper living facilities are beautiful modern cabins, all of which have wood flooring, windows, air-conditioning and ceiling fans. Modern updated bathrooms with showers and toilet stalls, are within the cabins. The bunks are spacious with plenty of storage for camper and counselor's clothing.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Located just outside of Philadelphia, West Chester University provides a convenient, top-notch location for camp this summer. Overnight campers reside in the campus dormitories where staff and resident advisors supervise campers overnight. Campers have several options for training, including the track at John A. Farrell Stadium, the wooded trails of the Gordon Natural Preserve, and the rural roads of WCU’s South Campus. In addition to running, camp focuses on supplementary exercises to keep distance runners strong, flexible, and healthy. There is a morning and evening work out that are both 2-2.5 hours. CAMP FACILITIES: Campers sleep in cabins or dormitories and are invited to join us for camp activities such as archery, bocce ball, arts & crafts, music & Bible, mini golf, group games, and chapel. CAMP FACILITIES: Your students will be safely housed in a dorm room at Millersville University and will have all of the same amenities as they would in a hotel. Each dorm room will include a private sink, shower and bathroom. Three meals a day are included with the tuition, and there is a full use kitchenette in the dorms with a microwave, stove and refrigerator. For an additional boarding fee, parents are welcomed to stay in an adjoining dorm room and will also receive a meal plan. At the end of week one, a special picnic will occur between the students, faculty and any family members. For a small additional fee a trip to Hershey Park will also be planned if enough members attend. All of the dancers will featured in a final performance on Friday July 21, 2017.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Viktor Yeliohin (Director) is a former soloist with the Donetsk Ballet of Ukraine. He is a Ballet master, Professor of Choreography and Studio Director with a career spanning more than 20 years.

Vadim Pisarev, trained at the Kiev Chorographical School and was given the honor and highest title of "People's Artist of the Ukraine." He is one of many well trained dancers that will be teaching throughout the summer program.

Inna Dorofeyeva, a native of the Chuguyev in Ukraine, Ms. Dorofeyeva studied at the Kiev Choreographic School under the tutelage of Varvar P. Mey. Formally a Principal Dancer of the Deutsche Oper Am Rhein in Donetsk Opera and Ballet Theatre, she quickly gained international attention.

Cody Smith, has been dancing professionally for 16 years. In New York, he has been a member of the ensemble of the Radio City Christmas Spectacular for the past 11 years. He has also assisted in numerous Broadway workshops and many regional and touring companies.

It is United Methodist affiliated, and open to all Christian denominations. Lodging ranges from luxury private rooms to family-style lodges and cozy cabins, with delicious meals for up to 350-400 guests. The Inn and Lodge have kitchens, lounges, fireplaces. Cabins have lounge/common area and 16-24 beds, mini-fridge and coffeepot/or full kitchen.

Outdoor sports facilities include basketball, volleyball, sand volleyball, baseball/softball, tennis, swimming pool, soccer, archery, shuffleboard, mountainboarding, & an 18 hole disc golf course. It is easy to step back in time while exploring the area's rich history and heritage. Jumonville Glen was the site of George Washington's first battle, and a small museum of artifacts has been preserved from the French and Indian War that followed.

In addition, the state operated an Orphan School on the property after the Civil War. The beautiful campus, 19th century stone buildings, and flagstone walkways reflect the rich past of this mountaintop, and yet still offer exceptional lodging, comfort and modern conveniences. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Why settle for ordinary when you can strive to be INCOMPARABLE? The reimagined 2022 Incomparable Marching Band Workshops immerse participants of all experience levels in an educational setting that fosters individual progress and inspires growth as performers AND people!

Student participants will work with our educational team to develop performance techniques and leadership skills in their area of emphasis (Drum Major, Winds, Color Guard, Battery Percussion, Front Ensemble). Participants will also engage in a collaborative and goal-oriented full-ensemble environment while assembling a Capstone Demonstration to be performed at the conclusion of the Workshop!

DRUM MAJOR TRACK goes beyond the basic 4 pattern . Drum Major students will learn strategies and techniques that develop presence, communication skills, musicianship, and more! In addition to fostering skills on the podium, Drum Major track participants will engage in leadership clinics each day that foster a heightened awareness of how the lessons learned in marching band can be successfully deployed in everyday life.

BRASS AND WOODWINDS are featured in this track of our Incomparable clinics. Students will focus on developing individual musicianship, ensemble skills, and visual performance techniques with our featured clinicians. Participants will engage in daily leadership clinics that encourage personal growth and help each student reach their full potential both on and off the field!

FRONT ENSEMBLE are the focus in this clinic track. From vibraphones to rack city, students will receive focused sessions on musicianship, technique development, and contemporary performance styles that they can incorporate into their home programs. BATTERY PERCUSSION students will focus on technique, uniformity, and musicianship during their dedicated clinic sessions. Additional daily sessions in leadership and personal responsibility round out the week for percussion students during their Incomparable clinic experiences!

Spin. Toss. Catch. These fundamentals will be the focus of the COLOR GUARD track at the Incomparable Marching Band Workshops. Clinicians will also lead sessions on body movement, ensemble work/uniformity, and visual musicianship. Daily sessions in leadership will show each student that their personal leadership affects the entire ensemble and how to capitalize on those strengths . Pennsburg is a suburban area approximately a one hour drive northwest of Philadelphia in Montgomery County. The proximity of many educational and recreational activities to Pennsburg make our weekly out of camp trips very convenient.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The Perkiomen School offers a wide array of playing fields and outdoor athletic facilities such as tennis and basketball courts. Riverbend is looking for energetic and motivated students between the ages of 16 and 18, to assist with our summer camp program and have a positive impact on the lives and education of younger children. Educators-In-Training will spend their time assisting professional educators and assistant educators with group management, daily activities, modeling of appropriate behavior, and providing nurturing support of campers. In addition, EITs will get to participate in activities with the children, including games, nature exploration, field trips, and more. EITs work primarily with our youngest campers and are a vital part to the success of the program.

Pre-requisites:

25 hours of cumulative experience working with children in a CIT program, babysitting, community experience, or similar experience.
Experience working with multiple age groups of children.
An excitement for the great outdoors and a passion for sharing it with children.

Responsibilities:

EIT's perform a vital role in Riverbend's summer camp program. Depending on the EIT's time and growth in the position there will be potential for increased responsibilities throughout the summer including but not limited to check in and check out, leading an Activity Day program, and planning and implementing lessons.

Basic duties include:
-Assisting camp staff with assigned tasks that help with the general management of educational groups, primarily for children 3-6 years of age.
-Providing a role model for the younger children on the appropriate ways to behave at camp and how to successfully explore the natural world.
-Assisting with the leading of Circle Time and Activity Day.
-Assisting with implementation of lesson plans and activities.
-Assisting with the clean-up of education spaces, including picnic areas, outdoor classroom, supply room and others.
-Assisting with camper lunch.

Riverbend is seeking self-motivated, energetic, and passionate educators to be a part of the staff of Riverbend's Summer Exploration Day Camp. Each week 80-100 children, ages 3–13, come to our 30-acre Gladwyne site for outdoor hands-on exploration and discovery. The atmosphere is friendly and child-centered. Curriculum is interpreted and delivered by professional staff with a strong emphasis on exploring and expanding children's interests and stimulating investigation. Some programs take place at other sites and include field trips, cook-outs, camp-outs, and camping trips. Groups are generally 12-14 children and are led by a lead educator and supported by an assistant educator.

Responsibilities:

Educators will work with a specific age group for the majority of the summer. Age groups will be designated based on experience and interest.
Educators will be required to interpret existing curriculum and amend it to be age appropriate lesson plans each day. Educators are encouraged to collaborate in this process.

Educators implement the lesson plans with a group of approximately 12-14 campers for whom they have primary responsibility, which includes group management, chaperoning field trips, and organizing cook-outs and overnights when teaching the older groups.

Educators and assistant educators are expected to work together as a team and supervise any Educator-in-Training (teen volunteer) assigned to their group.
General upkeep of the facility each day will be expected with weekly chores completed on Fridays.

Qualifications:

-Successful completion of pre-employment screening including drug test and Pennsylvania Child Abuse History -Clearance and criminal background check.
-Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Education, Biology, Geology, Outdoor Recreation, etc.).
-Understanding of basic principles of environmental education

Camp Towanda is now hiring Sports Instructors, Coaches and Activity Specialists, Group Leaders, Department Heads, and General Counselors! Our program consists of all the land and water sports, outdoor adventure, theatre, art and more! We offer professional paid internships in many fields including marketing, health administration, nursing, finance, hospitality, event planning, food services, sports management, media and nutrition. We work with colleges for school credit and provide mentorship opportunities.

Camp Towanda is the premier family-owned and operated, co-ed 7 week sleep-away camp in Northeast Pennsylvania for children ages 7-17. We are nestled on over 400 acres of beautiful fields, facilities, waterfront and countryside. At Camp Towanda, we provide a well-rounded experience for our campers and staff in a nurturing, safe environment with endless opportunities for them to try new things and feel great about themselves! Our program offers excellent and professional instruction in all land and water sports, fine arts, drama and adventure, as well as very creative evening activities and special events.

We attract down-to-earth, friendly and spirited campers, families and staff. We hire 300 counselors and support staff from over 20 countries and all across the USA.
