CAMP FACILITIES: Our 336 wooded acres provide hiking opportunities, outdoor chapels, playing fields, volleyball and basketball courts, ropes course and a swimming pool.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Every week at Nawakwa (weather permitting) begins and ends with worship at one of our beautiful outdoor worship areas; Upper Temple, Fischer Chapel or Bishop Chapel. Community living takes place everyday through Bible Study, worship, recreation, crafts, and nature study.

CAMP FACILITIES: Your students will be safely housed in a dorm room at Millersville University and will have all of the same amenities as they would in a hotel. Each dorm room will include a private sink, shower and bathroom. Three meals a day are included with the tuition, and there is a full use kitchenette in the dorms with a microwave, stove and refrigerator. For an additional boarding fee, parents are welcomed to stay in an adjoining dorm room and will also receive a meal plan. At the end of week one, a special picnic will occur between the students, faculty and any family members. For a small additional fee a trip to Hershey Park will also be planned if enough members attend. All of the dancers will featured in a final performance on Friday July 21, 2017.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Viktor Yeliohin (Director) is a former soloist with the Donetsk Ballet of Ukraine. He is a Ballet master, Professor of Choreography and Studio Director with a career spanning more than 20 years.

Vadim Pisarev, trained at the Kiev Chorographical School and was given the honor and highest title of "People's Artist of the Ukraine." He is one of many well trained dancers that will be teaching throughout the summer program.

Inna Dorofeyeva, a native of the Chuguyev in Ukraine, Ms. Dorofeyeva studied at the Kiev Choreographic School under the tutelage of Varvar P. Mey. Formally a Principal Dancer of the Deutsche Oper Am Rhein in Donetsk Opera and Ballet Theatre, she quickly gained international attention.

Cody Smith, has been dancing professionally for 16 years. In New York, he has been a member of the ensemble of the Radio City Christmas Spectacular for the past 11 years. He has also assisted in numerous Broadway workshops and many regional and touring companies.

CAMP FACILITIES: Campers sleep in cabins or dormitories and are invited to join us for camp activities such as archery, bocce ball, arts & crafts, music & Bible, mini golf, group games, and chapel. Our facility sits on a beautiful clear lake, providing the opportunity for optional waterfront activities including wading, swimming, and boating. We have wheelchair accessible hay-rides, swimming, boating, bocce ball courts, archery range, playground equipment, and pedal carts, and more. We also have multiple full ADA restrooms with zero entry showers and ceiling lifts.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Shepherds Camp has been providing full-care overnight camp for teens and adults with developmental disabilities for 60 years!

The safety and proper supervision of all campers is our staff's greatest priority. Our 'Protective Oversight Plan' ensures that every individual has a safe stay at camp.

Each year our camp is inspected by the Pennsylvania Department of Health and Broome NY Developmental Services. Shepherds Camp has been approved by the New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) to care for adults with developmental disabilities. The approval process includes a full review of our facilities, policies and procedures, and protective oversight plan each season of operation.

Here are just a few of the safety precautions and procedures that we have in place:

Campers are accounted for during all hours of the day and night.
Night staff are awake all night during the summer, indoors and outdoors.
All cabins are equipped with lighted security systems.
Hourly bed checks are conducted in the dormitories overnight.

CAMP FACILITIES: New country-styled cabins all have electricity and indoor bathroom facilities. There are 8 - 12 campers in each bunk supervised by 3-4 counselors. Lindenmere campers choose both majors and minors to construct their perfect day. With over fifty electives to choose from and a team of dedicated specialty staff, we ensure the success and growth of all of our campers.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Camp Lindenmere’s Leadership Training Program is carefully designed to teach participants both life and camp related skills. The LT’s will participate in all of the traditional Lindenmere camp activities, and will often experience many of these activities in a leadership role.

The program is fun, dynamic and creative while offering the LT’s more freedom and responsibility than other campers. The LT’s have the opportunity to participate in regular camp activities as well as experiential learning activities designed to teach life skills.

As the oldest campers, the LT’s are considered the foundation of the Lindenmere experience. Each participant is considered a valuable part of our community and is eligible to become our future staff and leaders.

OTHER CAMP INFO: How many people in each bunk?
Each bunk houses 8-12 campers with two to three counselors. The cabins are equipped with modern conveniences such as full bath facilities, including hot and cold running water, ample electrical outlets and storage space for clothing.

When do the campers pick their activities?
Majors are chosen before campers arrive at camp. The three minors are chosen at breakfast each morning and may vary from day to day.

Do campers ever get turned away from an activity they choose?
Never. A full time program director spends the day working with each child's schedule.

How many people in each activity?
Sometimes a child chooses a private lesson which is one-on-one with an instructor. Most activities have between eight to twelve children.

How does the laundry work?
Every camper's laundry is done with an outside service and is collected on Friday and returned to the campers on Sunday. The laundry for each cabin is kept together and the children sort their laundry with the aid of their counselors upon its return.

Do you have a doctor in camp?
We have a doctor and three registered nurses during each session. Our infirmary is staffed twenty four hours per day.

Are campers put into bunks by age or grade?
Campers are usually grouped in cabins by grade. Sometimes parents will request a placement by age. If your child wants to bunk with friends, we almost always are able to work it out.
Any out of camp trips?

Children leave camp to compete in intercamp games or special events such as a day trip to Camelbeach, Dorney Park, whitewater rafting, ice skating, bowling, minor league baseball games.

Do campers need extra money?
Canteen is provided free of charge each day. A small amount of spending money is recommended for other incidentals.

Where do campers come from?
All over. We have large groups of children from the New York metropolitan area, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington, Florida, and California, but don't be surprised if you have a bunk mate from London, Paris, Madrid or Singapore.

CAMP FACILITIES: Swope Music Building houses state-of-the-art rehearsal and performance spaces, classrooms, practice rooms, and faculty studios. Students are housed in an on-campus residence hall, adjacent to the dining hall.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The West Chester University High School Summer Music Institute offers resident and commuter options for students currently in grades 9 through 12. Students have the opportunity to perform in a variety of large and small ensembles including wind ensemble, string orchestra, choir, flute ensemble, clarinet ensemble, saxophone ensemble, double reed ensemble, brass ensemble, percussion ensemble, and vocal ensemble. All ensembles perform at the end of the Institute, and all concerts are open to family and friends. Auditions for a solo recital are held at the beginning of the week.

The Institute’s faculty consists primarily of West Chester University professors, all of whom are active performing artists in the Philadelphia region. Each student receives two 30-minute private lessons and one studio masterclass on their primary instrument or voice. Students will also participate in music theory/ear training, college prep, and audition prep classes.

Recreational activities include volleyball, a pizza party, and other organized evening activities.

OTHER CAMP INFO: Stone Mountain Adventures is a co-ed residential camp for 60 teenagers ages 12-16 located in the mountains of central Pennsylvania. We are a very active summer community and do a good job of getting campers excited about all aspects of camp from our adventure and sport activities to going roller skating to going white water rafting together as a group. As with many aspects of teenagers lives our camp is also a very social place and we work hard to model and encourage positive relationships, create community in an authentic way, stop cliques from developing, and take away many of the traditional pressures that teens feel in school. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Students attend classes and workshops five days each week with an emphasis on all aspects of Musical Theatre, including acting and stage management/design/technical theatre. Students receive daily technique classes in acting, voice (both group and private), and dance/musical theatre movement from the highest-quality teachers and industry professionals. The program culminates in a working showcase open to family/friends in the PNC Theatre at The Pittsburgh Playhouse.

Eileen Grace: Program Director
Eileen is an award-winning Director and Choreographer and a former Broadway performer and Rockette. She directed and staged the Radio City Christmas Spectacular touring productions for 9 years. She has served as Artistic Director of the Rockette's Summer Intensive Program and as Associate Producer for the theater company, Reagle Music Theater in Boston and as director for the annual Bradley Awards at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. Eileen was in the Broadway casts of 42nd Street, Will Rogers Follies, and in the international tour of My One and Only (with Tommy Tune). Her television credits include the Grammy Awards, Tony Awards, One Life to Live, Macy's Parade, Kennedy Center Honors, Late Show with David Letterman, and Oprah.

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Artistic merit scholarships are available. Each student will be considered and evaluated when their application is submitted. OTHER CAMP INFO: Acting Conservatory-style training that offers a strong foundation in the art and craft of acting. These classes emphasize the creative process and include instruction in script analysis, improvisation, scene & monologue work, stage combat, and Shakespeare verse techniques.

Musical Theatre
Our intensive focuses primarily on acting, dance, voice lessons, interpreting music and lyrics, and audition techniques. These classes are for the serious student of Musical Theatre and emphasize technical skill development and professional preparation.

Stage Management and Design / Technical Theatre
Housed in the award-winning Pittsburgh Playhouse, these classes offer students the unique opportunity to work and study in our world-class facilities, including production & design labs; scenic & prop shops; and light & sound studios. CAMP FACILITIES: We have a modern dorm and two modern longhouse facilities, as well as two more rustic dorms. We have a large Dining Hall facility, and a brand new Children's Ministry Building (fit for indoor sports and recreation, as well as meeting places). Additionally, the camp has 200 privately owned cottages, three large RV lots, a large soccer field and baseball field, disc golf and mini golf courses, basketball courts, volleyball courts, and a gaga ball pit. There are two tabernacles, the Main Tabernacle and Youth Tabernacle, for services. The Susquehanna River serves as a great place for swimming, kayaking, canoeing, and tubing.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Mahaffey Camp offers a variety of programs, from summer youth camps and family camp to year-long retreats and events. Our staff is a dedicated group of people who are passionate about serving campers of all ages and leading them to a vibrant experience with God. Our mission is "to reach others with the Gospel and teach them about the Lord." Mahaffey Camp aims to be "A Christian Center for Spiritual Growth." Mahaffey Camp is a member of the Christian Camp and Conference Association.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Those who wish to be considered as Counselors or Jr. Counselors should contact the camp office promptly, as available positions fill up quickly. Counselors and Jr. Counselors are required to attend a mandatory Counselor Training weekend, held at the end of May or beginning of June. Teen Counselors and Jr. Counselors are expected to attend a youth camp of their own age group.

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: For scholarship assistance, please contact the camp office. We have a scholarship fund that is used to help sponsor campers who are experiencing financial hardship and need assistance to be able to attend camp.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): Mahaffey Family Camp takes place during the last full week of July every year; in 2018, the dates are July 20 through 29. Events and services are offered for all age groups throughout the 10 days. Special events include a 5k race, Motorcycle Rally, Missionary Rally, Women's Day, Children's Penny Parade, Baptismal Service, and Gospel Concert. The camp store and Dining Hall are open for meals every day, and the craft store (selling merchandise and handmade crafts to benefit camp) is open daily. Dorm Accommodations are available, as well as RV and tent sites. Different types of services are offered, including Adult morning and evening services, prayer and healing services, Teen morning and evening services, Children's ministries, and Fresh Breeze afternoon service.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Youth Camps are held in the summer, while many retreats are held throughout the rest of the year. Mahaffey offers a variety of different retreats and events, including Applefest, Quilt Retreats, Scrapbook Retreats, Men's Link, Prayer Retreat, Mother / Daughter Retreat, REPLENISH (youth winter retreat), and private horsemanship lessons. CAMP FACILITIES: Summit has approx. 30 traditional wooden cabins with electric and private facilities in each cabin. Our main buildings include our newly refinished dining hall, air-conditioned recreational hall, our medical facility, and a newly built outdoor pavilion. Summit utilizes three A frame buildings for our arts programs, a wilderness treehouse with camp fire area for cookouts, newly resurfaced basketball/tennis courts, high/low ropes course with climbing wall, heated pool, private lake, nature fields with a farm area, martial arts dojo, go-kart track with 3 karts. Summit has a small amphitheatre adjacent to our lake, with a miraculous view of our beautiful setting where we enjoy swimming, canoeing, and riding our banana boats. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Summit Camp is a co-ed sleepaway camp for ages 8-19 years with issues of attention: AD/HD, HFA/Asperger’s Disorder, and/or learning differences. Using the frame of a traditional sleepaway camp, we create platforms of success where our campers can experience outcomes such as improved self-esteem, lasting friendships, and increased independence. This is accomplished through a well-orchestrated and expertly staffed backdrop to a largely traditional camp experience- guided challenges, waterfront, adventure course, and more. It is our goal and desire to take our campers from observing peer interactions to engaging in them, to learn and celebrate their own strengths and successes, and to feel a sense of belonging and shared community with those around them while they are with us.

Our Teen Travel program extends the Summit community to provide a safe yet exciting adventure to one of our many attractive national and international destination tours offering 14 day and 19 day excursions. Summit Weekenders provide a youth-group style social retreat for adolescents to have an oasis of independence, enjoyment, and success during the school year months. Regardless of the specific program, Summit provides an expertly staffed, highly structured, and truly fun experience for our youth, and has been doing so since 1969. Summit is accredited by the American Camp Association and takes pride in our long term commitment to and successes in working with special needs youth.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Our Transitions to Adult Living Skills program for youth aged 15-19 provides learning and vocational opportunities for our teens. We also have vocational programs for upper camp including, big brother/big sister, waiter/waitressing, working in a specialty area or as UL assistant, photography, and more. Our SUPER TEEN program focuses on building the executive function and daily living skills OUR kids needs to succeed as independently as possible.

Camp Towanda is now hiring Sports Instructors, Coaches and Activity Specialists, Group Leaders, Department Heads, and General Counselors! Our program consists of all the land and water sports, outdoor adventure, theatre, art and more! We offer professional paid internships in many fields including marketing, health administration, nursing, finance, hospitality, event planning, food services, sports management, media and nutrition. We work with colleges for school credit and provide mentorship opportunities.

Camp Towanda is the premier family-owned and operated, co-ed 7 week sleep-away camp in Northeast Pennsylvania for children ages 7-17. We are nestled on over 400 acres of beautiful fields, facilities, waterfront and countryside. CAMP FACILITIES: Many of the facilities in our historic 110 year old camp have recently (10 years) been updated. They include a dining hall and kitchen, craft house, boat house, medical facility, and eight of the fourteen camper cabins. The oldest building in camp is our historic Lodge, used for shows and group gatherings. The 200 acre natural lake provides a beautiful and functional setting for all our aquatic activities. Camp also includes a climbing wall, tennis courts, a volleyball court, field, archery range, campcraft area, nature/ecology area, and a 500 acre preserved area used for hiking and mountain biking.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Our aquatic program is extensive, taking advantage of our location on a beautiful, 200 acre, natural, mountain lake. Water skiing, swimming, canoeing, sailing, kayaking, water trampoline, and more occur on the lake. 80-90% of our staff, on average, are trained in Red Cross Lifeguarding, CPR and First Aid. Our boat drivers are required to have a Pennsylvania boating safety license and are screened in our boats.

Older campers may take whitewater canoe trips on the Delaware River and/or a four-day lake canoeing trip to the Adirondacks. Other trips include hiking on the Appalachian Trail, Loyalsock Trail (World's End State Park), Rickett's Glen State Park, Hickory Run State Park, and local trips to the blueberry farm, mill pond, and a local camping spot.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Teen Treks has been a leader in bike touring summer programs for 18 years. At Teen Treks we offer fun and not competitive biking experiences. Our Moderate rated trips are geared towards first time bicyclists, appropriate for most 14-18 year olds in average or better physical health. Our Easy treks are extremely easy in terms of daily mileage and terrain and will attract slower riders. For our Challenging treks you need to be in good shape and enjoy bicycling. We have had many first time riders do challenging treks and this is for those eager for a challenge.

Any teenager can enjoy one of our summer bike trips. We love a good challenge and we encourage teens to be ambitious, but we keep things fun, too – there’s always time to stop for ice cream, enjoy the scenery, or check out an awesome local restaurant or historical site.
