CAMP FACILITIES: Your students will be safely housed in a dorm room at Millersville University and will have all of the same amenities as they would in a hotel. Each dorm room will include a private sink, shower and bathroom. Three meals a day are included with the tuition, and there is a full use kitchenette in the dorms with a microwave, stove and refrigerator. For an additional boarding fee, parents are welcomed to stay in an adjoining dorm room and will also receive a meal plan. At the end of week one, a special picnic will occur between the students, faculty and any family members. For a small additional fee a trip to Hershey Park will also be planned if enough members attend. All of the dancers will featured in a final performance on Friday July 21, 2017.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Viktor Yeliohin (Director) is a former soloist with the Donetsk Ballet of Ukraine. He is a Ballet master, Professor of Choreography and Studio Director with a career spanning more than 20 years.

Vadim Pisarev, trained at the Kiev Chorographical School and was given the honor and highest title of "People's Artist of the Ukraine." He is one of many well trained dancers that will be teaching throughout the summer program.

Inna Dorofeyeva, a native of the Chuguyev in Ukraine, Ms. Dorofeyeva studied at the Kiev Choreographic School under the tutelage of Varvar P. Mey. Formally a Principal Dancer of the Deutsche Oper Am Rhein in Donetsk Opera and Ballet Theatre, she quickly gained international attention.

Cody Smith, has been dancing professionally for 16 years. In New York, he has been a member of the ensemble of the Radio City Christmas Spectacular for the past 11 years. He has also assisted in numerous Broadway workshops and many regional and touring companies.

CAMP FACILITIES: Our camper living facilities are beautiful modern cabins, all of which have wood flooring, windows, air-conditioning and ceiling fans. Modern updated bathrooms with showers and toilet stalls, are within the cabins. The bunks are spacious with plenty of storage for camper and counselor's clothing.

Our facilities, most of which are lit for night play, include basketball courts, baseball/softball fields, hockey rinks, covered turf football/lacrosse/soccer field, grass lacrosse/football fields, grass soccer fields, indoor gymnastics center, tennis courts, volleyball courts, a heated swimming pool, extensive water park and lake toys, cardio and weight rooms, Outdoor Adventure facilities (rock walls, ropes courses, ziplines, and more), woodworking shop, arts & crafts, culinary center, spin studio, archery range, movie theater, canteen, health center and dining hall.

Nestled in the heart of the beautiful Pocono Mountains in Wayne County, PA, Camp Westmont is situated on 400 acres of gently rolling hills with a private 100-acre lake. Westmont provides a fun-filled summer of varied activities for campers ages 6 through 16. Westmont is a co-ed camp with two very distinct campuses – boys on Boys Side and girls on Girls Side. All of our activities are on-site so Westmont’s campers do not need to travel off property to enjoy their daily activities. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Why settle for ordinary when you can strive to be INCOMPARABLE? The reimagined 2022 Incomparable Marching Band Workshops immerse participants of all experience levels in an educational setting that fosters individual progress and inspires growth as performers AND people!

Student participants will work with our educational team to develop performance techniques and leadership skills in their area of emphasis (Drum Major, Winds, Color Guard, Battery Percussion, Front Ensemble). Participants will also engage in a collaborative and goal-oriented full-ensemble environment while assembling a Capstone Demonstration to be performed at the conclusion of the Workshop!

DRUM MAJOR TRACK goes beyond the basic 4 pattern . Drum Major students will learn strategies and techniques that develop presence, communication skills, musicianship, and more! In addition to fostering skills on the podium, Drum Major track participants will engage in leadership clinics each day that foster a heightened awareness of how the lessons learned in marching band can be successfully deployed in everyday life.

BRASS AND WOODWINDS are featured in this track of our Incomparable clinics. Students will focus on developing individual musicianship, ensemble skills, and visual performance techniques with our featured clinicians. Participants will engage in daily leadership clinics that encourage personal growth and help each student reach their full potential both on and off the field!

FRONT ENSEMBLE are the focus in this clinic track. From vibraphones to rack city, students will receive focused sessions on musicianship, technique development, and contemporary performance styles that they can incorporate into their home programs. Leadership as a personal and group concept is a daily topic in this track (

BATTERY PERCUSSION students will focus on technique, uniformity, and musicianship during their dedicated clinic sessions. Additional daily sessions in leadership and personal responsibility round out the week for percussion students during their Incomparable clinic experiences!

Spin. Toss. Catch. These fundamentals will be the focus of the COLOR GUARD track at the Incomparable Marching Band Workshops. Clinicians will also lead sessions on body movement, ensemble work/uniformity, and visual musicianship. Daily sessions in leadership will show each student that their personal leadership affects the entire ensemble and how to capitalize on those strengths . Whether you have 5 people in your color guard, or 50, students in this track will gain many skills and tools to take back to their squad.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): We offer a Educator/Director Track for College Students and Marching Band staff

Our Educator/Director track will tackle topics such as: drill design (Ultimate Drill Book will be ON SITE), building a strong retainment program, group travel, assessment and adjudication, issues related to diversity, equity & Inclusion, and many more. This track will encourage peer connection, network development, and world-class presenters to meet you where you are and get your program to where you want to be.

This two-day workshop can be a stand-alone or add-on (just select “Premium Package”) to any of our existing tracks. This leadership intensive experience is built for anyone looking to enrich their leadership skills. CAMP FACILITIES: Camp Shand has a small lake, outdoor pool, dining hall, recreation hall, modern first aid center, modern shower house, 12 cabin, outdoor basketball, large sports field, GAGA pit, two fire circles, miles of trails and archery range.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: YMCA Camp Shand offers a traditional values based program which is also ACA accredited. A majority of staff are 18 and older. All have background checks and are CPR/First Aid certified and receive a 40 hours of training prior to the start of class.

CAMP FACILITIES: The Kirby Center for Creative Arts will serve as the brand-new home and performance venue for Summer At Sem -Creative Arts, in addition to existing arts buildings. Our facilities also include four dormitories, an air-conditioned dining hall, classroom buildings, open practice rooms, dance and fine art studios, athletic center with two gymnasiums, fitness rooms and swimming pool, new stadium, tennis courts and artificial turf fields, three computer labs and a 20,000 volume library.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: If you are an artist, or aspire to be, Sem is the place to spend your summer. Here you may choose from dedicated session of study in vocal performance, symphony orchestra, dance and theater, along with several visual arts courses. If you can't decide which of your passions to pursue, you will love our design-your-own program: this approach allows students to study across multiple disciplines during the same session. Imagine a schedule of dance in the morning followed by a theater or vocal performance elective course in the afternoon. The possibilities are endless!

CAMP FACILITIES: Camp Chimaqua has acres of woods, fields and tumbling brooks. The setting includes rustic lodges, cabins, a swimming pool, lake, trails and many other amenities.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Chimaqua is an overnight weekend camp for grieving children ages 6-12 offered by the Pathways Center for Grief & Loss. Our focus is on helping your child learn about loss, develop coping skills and build self-confidence. This is achieved through fun-filled activities and opportunities for small- and large-group sharing. In the safe and accepting environment of camp, the children learn ways to understand and express their feelings about their loss. The campers also benefit from spending time with other children who have also experienced a loss. Camp is staffed by professional Pathways Center counselors and trained volunteers, and a registered nurse is on-site for the duration of camp. A specially-trained adult buddy is paired with each child to provide constant companionship, support and supervision throughout the weekend.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Camp Chimaqua is a program of Hospice & Community Care's Pathways Center for Grief & Loss. The Pathways Center for Grief & Loss is a free community resource for children, teens and adults who are coping with the death of someone significant in their lives. Our mission is to support and encourage the inherent ability to heal and discern new paths on one's journey through grief. Professionally trained Pathways Center counselors are committed to:

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Located just outside of Philadelphia, West Chester University provides a convenient, top-notch location for camp this summer. Overnight campers reside in the campus dormitories where staff and resident advisors supervise campers overnight. Campers have several options for training, including the track at John A. Farrell Stadium, the wooded trails of the Gordon Natural Preserve, and the rural roads of WCU’s South Campus. In addition to running, camp focuses on supplementary exercises to keep distance runners strong, flexible, and healthy. There is a morning and evening work out that are both 2-2.5 hours. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Hiking, stream-stomping and bug-catching are a few of the key ingredients that have made Riverbend's summer exploration camp a sensation for 35 years. Riverbend is looking for energetic and motivated students between the ages of 16 and 18, to assist with our summer camp program and have a positive impact on the lives and education of younger children. Educators-In-Training will spend their time assisting professional educators and assistant educators with group management, daily activities, modeling of appropriate behavior, and providing nurturing support of campers. In addition, EITs will get to participate in activities with the children, including games, nature exploration, field trips, and more. EITs work primarily with our youngest campers and are a vital part to the success of the program.

Pre-requisites:

25 hours of cumulative experience working with children in a CIT program, babysitting, community experience, or similar experience.
Experience working with multiple age groups of children.
An excitement for the great outdoors and a passion for sharing it with children.

Responsibilities:

EIT's perform a vital role in Riverbend's summer camp program. Depending on the EIT's time and growth in the position there will be potential for increased responsibilities throughout the summer including but not limited to check in and check out, leading an Activity Day program, and planning and implementing lessons.

Basic duties include:
-Assisting camp staff with assigned tasks that help with the general management of educational groups, primarily for children 3-6 years of age.
-Providing a role model for the younger children on the appropriate ways to behave at camp and how to successfully explore the natural world.
-Assisting with the leading of Circle Time and Activity Day.
-Assisting with implementation of lesson plans and activities.
-Assisting with the clean-up of education spaces, including picnic areas, outdoor classroom, supply room and others.
-Assisting with camper lunch.

Qualifications:

-Successful completion of pre-employment screening including drug test and Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance and criminal background check.
-Ability to work actively outdoors during the hot summer months and in all weather conditions.
-No allergy to plants, animals or chemicals that may be used on the job that may interfere with ability to perform work.

Riverbend is seeking self-motivated, energetic, and passionate educators to be a part of the staff of Riverbend's Summer Exploration Day Camp. Each week 80-100 children, ages 3–13, come to our 30-acre Gladwyne site for outdoor hands-on exploration and discovery. The atmosphere is friendly and child-centered. Curriculum is interpreted and delivered by professional staff with a strong emphasis on exploring and expanding children's interests and stimulating investigation. Some programs take place at other sites and include field trips, cook-outs, camp-outs, and camping trips. Groups are generally 12-14 children and are led by a lead educator and supported by an assistant educator.

Responsibilities:

Educators will work with a specific age group for the majority of the summer. Age groups will be designated based on experience and interest.
Educators will be required to interpret existing curriculum and amend it to be age appropriate lesson plans each day. Educators are encouraged to collaborate in this process.

Educators implement the lesson plans with a group of approximately 12-14 campers for whom they have primary responsibility, which includes group management, chaperoning field trips, and organizing cook-outs and overnights when teaching the older groups.

Educators and assistant educators are expected to work together as a team and supervise any Educator-in-Training (teen volunteer) assigned to their group.
General upkeep of the facility each day will be expected with weekly chores completed on Fridays.

Qualifications:

-Successful completion of pre-employment screening including drug test and Pennsylvania Child Abuse History -Clearance and criminal background check.
-Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Education, Biology, Geology, Outdoor Recreation, etc.).
-Understanding of basic principles of environmental education
-Knowledge of environmental/science/natural history concepts
-1-2 yrs experience educating and managing groups of children in a professional setting.
-Strong oral communication skills
-Ability to work a flexible schedule which will include early mornings, late afternoons and occasional overnights.
-First Aid and CPR trained (will offer training option if not current)

It is United Methodist affiliated, and open to all Christian denominations. The beautiful campus, 19th century stone buildings, and flagstone walkways reflect the rich past of this mountaintop, and yet still offer exceptional lodging, comfort and modern conveniences. Our CIT program is specifically designed for teens who are interested in working with kids. We teach critical counseling skills, behavior management, and instruction techniques.

Being a CIT is about learning practical skills that you will hone at camp. For example, you will work with our staff as assistant instructors in the various program areas across Camp Soles. You will also be assigned a cabin to help with everything from running activities to working with homesick campers. Camp is after all about learning through positive relationships and our counselors are role models for our CITs as much as they are for campers.

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: At the Y, no child or family is turned away due to inability to pay. That holds true at YMCA camps as well. Realizing that different families have different abilities to pay, we created a three tier pricing program. Based on an honor system, your family chooses which tier you can afford. CAMP FACILITIES: Camp Orchard Hill housing includes clean, comfortable and air-conditioned cabins along with retreat style rooms with semi-private bath and seasonal use yurts. Other facilities include the Lakeview Terrace dining and meeting center which seats over 300, 12,000 sq. ft. recreation center with sports, indoor climbing wall and inflatable games, Olympic size outdoor heated pool, private Lake Manjo for boating and fishing and numerous activity areas on our 140 acre campus.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Our high school leadership training program is carefully designed to mold campers into the future staff of Camp Orchard Hill! The Core is divided into three distinct, purposeful levels and runs in two-week sessions. Each session is sized to create an intimate family atmosphere for effective team building and Biblical training. Through on and off-site service projects, campers learn to carry on the standards and traditions of COH while creating memories and cultivating friendships that will last a lifetime. Campers are attracted to the extended stay and special privileges of The Core, but they leave their two weeks with a sense of ownership, accomplishment, and the spiritual maturity that comes with servant leadership.
