CAMP PROGRAM INFO: This Elite Junior Golf Camp is designed for the competitive junior golfer who already plays competitively on his/her high school golf team and/or currently competes in junior golf tournaments throughout the season. Throughout this intense, week long experience, each camper will gain exposure to all facets of the game including the mental and fitness side. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The Road Less Traveled as an organization was founded by Jim and Donna Stein in 1991, and has been successfully running safe, exciting, life-changing trips for teens ever since. Both Jim and Donna are still the current directors, and are integrally involved in every single aspect of the company. In the summer, they are on call 24/7, available both to parents as well as to our leaders in the field.

We are an ACA accredited organization with an impeccable track record. We believe in the process of accreditation. It allows us to compare our standards to other professionals in the industry. Our accreditation allows us to follow specific standards related to leader screening including use of application forms, reference checks, personal interviews, work history review, and background checks.

Many years ago, we were the first company serving young adults to require that all leaders have a Wilderness First Responder (WFR) medical certification. WFR training is far more advanced than standard first aid or wilderness first aid. In addition to this certification, we carry extensive first aid kits on all of our programs that include antibiotics and epinephrine. Contents, protocols, and standing orders are reviewed and updated every year by our Medical Director who is an MD.

Since our inception, RLT has been on the cutting edge of technological advances in communication. We began carrying Iridium satellite phones on all of our programs as soon as they were available. Today we continue to carry the latest in emergency communication systems. According to geographic location, programs are equipped with satellite phones, ground-to-air radios, and/or cellular phones providing the possibility of 24-hour access to medical help in case of emergency.

Trip Leader/Co-Leader

Travel domestically and/or internationally with a group of high-school and/or middle-school students, monitoring and facilitating community service, language/cultural immersion, and/or wilderness adventure trips

Minimum Qualifications
• Minimum of 21 years of age
• Minimum of a bachelor's degree or in the process of completing a degree. Equivalent experience working with teenagers in related field will be considered if not currently enrolled in school
• Experience Previous program leader experience working with and or teaching young people age ranging in age between 12-19. Knowledge of and experience with group dynamics, teaching or facilitating groups, supervision of meal planning, food preparation and cooking, managing logistics. Ability to teach program specific skills, environmental awareness, and related scientific, cultural, and historical knowledge pertaining to the regions through which you will travel and their relationship to each other.
• Strong Physical Condition
• Current CPR for the professional rescuer
• Current Wilderness First Responder, WEMT or EMT certification
• Current Red Cross lifeguard or Swiftwater rescue certifications preferred but not mandatory
• Current unrestricted valid drivers license with no major convictions during the previous three year period; driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, reckless driving, hit and run, homicide or assault with a motor vehicle, drag racing, operating a motor vehicle without the owner's consent, license suspended or revoked within the previous three year period for accidents and or moving violations. Driving record should reflect no more than three moving violations and/or chargeable accidents during the previous three years

• For Adventure Programs: Knowledge of three or more wilderness travel methods. Whitewater rafting, sea kayaking, international trekking, biking, backpacking, technical rock or ice climbing and mountaineering. Mandatory requirements for adventure trips include: the ability to lead groups of students on backpacking trips of three to eight days, ability to comfortably lead through remote wilderness areas. This includes, but is not limited to, backpacking preparations, backcountry travel, route finding, campsite selection, equipment maintenance, Leave No Trace camping techniques in desert and alpine terrain and proper protocol in dense bear country.

All leaders must possess the ability to make prudent decisions in adverse conditions. International Service Learning and Language Immersion Programs: Leaders and must be highly proficient or fluent in the spoken language of the program country (Spanish, etc.) and have extensive experience with community service, international travel, managing multiple responsibilities abroad, experience and/or living abroad, cultural immersion. CAMP FACILITIES: Contained within a 116-acre plot of land, the 6,701-yard, par-70 course is short by golf standards today. However, a $4 million renovation project in 2001 by Jacksonville-based architect Bobby Weed transformed the contour of the landscape, creating a course that is both physically and mentally challenging.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Gator Golf Camp offers an array of daytime activities that include playing golf and instruction, while the evenings offer a variety of entertaining and informative seminars, including a closer look at the mental side of golf. Aspects such as visualization, self-talk, tension, anxiety, and self-doubt will be discussed. We also make time to do some fun activities which may include a trip to the movies, swimming, bowling, or an athletic event.

An interesting feature of the Gator Golf Camp is our Player/Coaches Panel. This is a forum where we will discuss all aspects of collegiate golf. Areas covered will include academic requirements and tournaments.

Gator Golf Camp brings together a great staff of golf coaches, PGA professionals, and University of Florida golf team members to guide the campers on their way to better golf.

* Camp Director, Mark Leon is the Assistant Coach of the Florida Gators Men's Golf Team. Mark is in his 3rd season at Florida coming from his alma mater Penn State.

*Associate Head Women's Golf Coach, Janice Olivencia is in her 8th year at the University of Florida. She is a two time All-American and has spent time on both the LPGA Futures Tour and European Tour. Janice was a member of the Puerto Rico National Golf Team and is fluent in Spanish and English.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Director Clay Roberts completed his second season with the Fire men’s soccer program in 2015. The Fire finished the 2015 season with a record of15-5-0. In 2014, SEU was second in the conference in scoring, averaging 2.44 goals per contest. CAMP FACILITIES: Our top decks can currently accommodate 144 students a week in our junior officer state rooms, which house six students each. Our virtual aircraft carrier, AMBITION, also has a deck where all the learning facilities are located, and another deck where we house our flight simulators.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The National Flight Academy offers one of the most exciting and immersive learning experiences in the world- inspiring 5-12th graders to take an interest in science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), in an aviation-themed adventure aboard a massive virtual aircraft carrier, AMBITION (CVT-11). This four-story 102,000 square foot facility is designed scenically and theatrically to simulate a modern aircraft carrier.

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Unfortunately, scholarship funds through the National Flight Academy are not available for our 2016 season. In the event that something does become available, updates will be posted on our website and social media platforms. CAMP FACILITIES: We use facilities provided by Camp Suwannee. There are 14 cabins all with air conditioning, a large indoor pavilion, swimming pool and several athletic fields. Meals are served family style in a dining hall. Cabin sizes are kept at 7 campers or fewer.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: LOSCC is staffed by adult volunteers who view LOSCC as a ministry to the campers who attend. We are an interdenominational Christ-Centered camp desiring to 'change lives forever, one camper at a time.'

CAMP FACILITIES: Overnight students participating in the Summer Intensive program will stay at the UCF campus dorms and bus over to the studios in the morning, located in downtown Orlando.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The OBS Summer Intensive is for intermediate through advanced students ages 11 and up. International guest teachers supplement our professional, ABT Curriculum certified staff. Classes in ballet, character, pointe, variations, modern, jazz, men’s, partnering and nutrition are offered. Students participate in an average of six hours of daily training Monday through Saturday. Student housing, transportation, and supervision are offered for participants. Structured recreational time and several trips to major theme parks are also included as an option. Only exceptional students are selected from a combination of national auditions and mailed DVD submissions.

CAMP FACILITIES: We rest on 167 acres and 3 lakes. We have 2 lodges and 10 cabins and multiple meeting areas. We also have a dining hall with av/audio equipment built in and ready to use.

We have an open pavilion for recreation and sound system needs.

Our field allows for groups to do many different outdoor events.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: We are own by the St. Augustine Presbytery. We are Presbyterian by nature and we accept all different denominations. We have been around since 1957 and are accredited by American Camp Association (ACA).

For our summer camp, we have a staff of 24 young adults that are all trained in counseling. They are also First Aid and CPR certified. We have a core of lifeguards on staff as well along with Challenge Course Facilitators.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: We have a Counselor-In-Training camp. Our campers during their first week at camp will learn how to be a camp counselor at Montgomery Center. They will return a second week in the summer and counsel their own group of kids with our staff.

We also have a 2 week Leaders-In-Training camp, where our campers will go through group initiative and other challenges to help foster community, leadership and responsibility. They also participate as campers in most activities but have class sessions. They become leaders in our camp programs and will take day trips to serve in our communities.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): We provide a Family Camp session over the 4th of July weekend. Where family can come and enjoy a retreat/vacation camp experience.
